7. Legal Bases for Processing Data

If you are in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with similar privacy laws, we rely on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract

We process data when it is needed to provide Orendale to you, including accounts, saves, gameplay, purchases, rewards, support, and online services.

Legitimate interests

We process data when it is reasonably necessary for our legitimate interests, such as improving Orendale, fixing bugs, preventing cheating, securing accounts, detecting fraud, enforcing rules, and understanding game performance.

Consent

We ask for consent for certain activities, such as ads and analytics where the law requires it, push notifications, or optional data collection. You can withdraw consent where applicable (see section 27).

Legal obligation

We may process data when required by law, tax rules, accounting rules, platform rules, consumer protection rules, or lawful requests from authorities.

8. Cloud Saves and Account Data

Orendale may offer cloud save features. Cloud saves allow your progress to be stored online and restored on supported devices.

Cloud save data may include your player ID, progress, inventory, currencies, purchases, unlocked content, settings, and other gameplay data.

Cloud saves are used to help protect your progress, support multiple devices where available, prevent fraud, and restore purchases or progress when possible.

Orendale uses Unity Cloud Save and Unity Authentication, including Unity Player Accounts, to store your progress and sign you in. Unity Technologies processes this data on our behalf.

For one-time offers, we also store a small record in your cloud save showing which one-time offers your account has already received, together with the store transaction ID. We use it to make sure a one-time offer is delivered only once per account, including when you play on a different device or store.

Friends, gifts, referral codes, and reports

Your player name is stored by Unity Authentication, and your friend list, friend requests, blocks, and online status by Unity's Friends service. Gifts, your Inbox, referral codes, reports about players, and messages you send us from the Contact Us screen are stored in Unity Cloud Save by our own server code (Unity Cloud Code). Unity Technologies processes this data on our behalf.

Other players can see your player name, and can use it to find you and send you a friend request. Your friends can also see whether you are online and roughly when you were last online. The player who receives a gift from you sees your player name and what the gift contains. A referral code is shown only to you; the friend whose code you use receives a reward in their Inbox, and we do not tell either of you who the other is. We do not tell a reported player who reported them.

Leaderboards

Leaderboards are stored by Unity Leaderboards, a Unity Gaming Services product that processes this data on our behalf. Our own server code (Unity Cloud Code) receives your score from the game, checks it against limits, and writes it to the leaderboard.

Everyone who opens a leaderboard can see your player name, your score, and your rank. This is not limited to your friends. Your Group Gear Score is sent only when you press Submit in the game. The Enemies Killed leaderboard is filled automatically while you are signed in and defeat enemies in the Survival Run, and there is no option to hide yourself from a leaderboard while staying in the ranking. The Enemies Killed leaderboard is reset once a month and prizes are given by final rank; the prize is placed in your Inbox. To remove your entries from the leaderboards, use Delete My Game Data (see section 20).

When a monthly leaderboard ends, its final results (player name, score, and rank) are kept in an archive that we use to pay prizes and to check results. The archive is not shown to players.

9. Purchases, Premium Currency, and Virtual Items

If you make a purchase in Orendale, the platform or store usually processes the payment.

We may receive purchase confirmation data, such as the product purchased, purchase time, receipt ID, transaction ID, platform, country, currency, and refund status.

We use this data to deliver purchased content, provide support, prevent fraud, manage refunds, restore purchases, and keep purchase records.

We do not usually receive full payment card information.

10. Random Rewards and Loot Boxes

Orendale may include random reward systems such as loot boxes, premium boxes, reward chests, daily boxes, enemy drops, boss drops, mining rewards, spin rewards, and event rewards.

We may process reward history, purchase history, drop results, and probability related data to deliver rewards, prevent abuse, provide support, and comply with platform or legal requirements.

If a random reward is purchased with real money or premium currency, we may display odds or probability information before purchase where required.

11. Ads and Rewarded Ads

Orendale shows rewarded ads. Ads are provided through Unity LevelPlay, an ad mediation service, which connects Orendale to advertising networks, including Unity Ads and Google AdMob.

Ad providers may collect or receive data such as your advertising ID, device information, IP address, approximate location, and whether you viewed, clicked, or completed an ad. We use this to show ads, measure ad performance, prevent ad fraud, and give you the in-game reward after a completed rewarded ad. We also record, for our own analytics, that you watched a rewarded ad and whether you completed it.

Where the law requires your consent for ads (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), we use Google's consent form to ask you before any ads are requested. Your choice is shared with our ad providers. If you do not consent, you will not be shown rewarded ads.

You can change your choice at any time using the Privacy Settings button in the game (where available), and you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.

12. Analytics

We use Unity Analytics, part of Unity Gaming Services provided by Unity Technologies, to understand how Orendale is played and to improve it.

Data collected through analytics may include: an installation ID and, if you are signed in, your player ID; device type, operating system, platform, and language; game version; your approximate location (country, derived from your IP address); when your sessions start and how long they last; and events we record while you play, such as tutorial progress, battles started and finished, stages reached, rewarded ads watched, and purchases (the product, price, and currency).

We use analytics to find and fix problems, balance gameplay, improve the tutorial and shop, and measure whether players keep playing over time.

Where the law requires consent for analytics (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), analytics starts only after you agree in the consent form, and stops if you withdraw consent using the Privacy Settings button in the game. In other regions, we rely on our legitimate interest in improving the game; you can object or ask us to delete your analytics data by contacting us.

Crash and performance information: Orendale does not use its own crash reporting tool. Google Play and the Apple App Store may give us aggregated crash and performance reports from players who chose to share diagnostic data with them, under their own privacy policies.

13. Anti Cheat, Security, and Fraud Prevention

We may process data to protect Orendale from cheating, exploits, account abuse, fraud, unauthorized purchases, save file tampering, botting, hacking, duplication, and other misuse.

This may include account data, gameplay data, purchase data, device data, technical logs, suspicious activity, currency changes, reward history, and enforcement history.

If we detect or reasonably suspect abuse, we may take action under our Terms and Conditions, including correcting progress, removing exploited items, restricting features, suspending accounts, or banning accounts.

This also covers misuse of the friends, gifts, and referral features, for example creating extra accounts to collect referral rewards or gifts. To limit this, we keep a small record that an account used a referral code, when the account first appeared, and whether it already had a game. This record contains no personal details beyond your player ID, and we keep it even after you delete your game data so that deleting data cannot be used to claim a reward twice.

If a player name or other behaviour breaks our Community Rules (https://www.wendelstudios.com/community-rules), we may change or remove the name, remove friends, gifts, or rewards, limit online features, or suspend or ban the account.

This also covers misuse of leaderboards, for example entering false scores with cheats, modified versions of the game, or other tools, or using extra accounts to take places on a leaderboard or collect leaderboard prizes. We may keep the data needed to review a result (your scores, when they were sent, and your prize history), remove an entry from a leaderboard, and withhold or take back a prize.

14. Support, Bug Reports, and Feedback

If you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, player ID, platform, device type, screenshots, purchase receipts, support messages, bug reports, and any information you choose to provide.

We use this information to respond to you, investigate issues, restore purchases where possible, fix bugs, improve Orendale, and keep support records.

Messages sent from the Contact Us screen in the game reach us together with your player ID and technical details (game version, platform, operating system, device model, and language). Giving an email address there is optional and is only used to answer you. Our team receives these messages in a private team channel provided by Discord, which handles them under its own privacy policy.

If you report another player, we store your report (the reported player's ID and name, your player ID, and the date) and send it to our team in the same private channel, so that we can review it and enforce our Community Rules.

15. Sharing Data With Third Parties

We may share data with trusted third parties when needed to operate Orendale.

This may include:

• Game engine and backend providers
• Cloud save providers
• Authentication providers
• Analytics providers
• Advertising providers
• Payment platforms and app stores
• Hosting providers
• Customer support tools
• Other players, as described in section 8 (your player name; for your friends also your online status; for the receiver of a gift, your player name; for everyone who opens a leaderboard, your player name, score, and rank)
• Anti cheat, fraud prevention, and security providers
• Legal, accounting, tax, or professional advisers
• Authorities where required by law

We do not sell your personal data in the ordinary meaning of selling your identity or private information for money.

Some advertising or analytics practices may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain privacy laws. Where required, we will provide choices or opt out options.

16. Third Party Services We Use

Orendale on Android uses the following services. We update this list when we add or remove services.

• Unity Technologies, including Unity Gaming Services: Authentication and Player Accounts, Friends, Leaderboards, Cloud Save, Cloud Code, Remote Config, and Analytics
• Unity LevelPlay (ad mediation) and the advertising networks connected to it, including Unity Ads
• Google AdMob and Google's user consent form (User Messaging Platform)
• Google Play Services and Google Play Billing for purchases
• Our website host and support email provider
• Discord: a private channel that our team uses to receive support messages and reports about players

When Orendale is released on iOS, it will also use Apple App Store services.

Each third party processes data according to its own privacy policy. Where they act on our behalf, such as Unity for cloud saves and analytics, they process data under our instructions.

17. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in the Netherlands, the European Union, the United States, or other countries where we or our service providers operate.

If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or another protected region, we will use appropriate safeguards where required by law. These safeguards may include adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

18. How Long We Keep Data

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Different data may be kept for different periods:

• Account data is kept while your account exists.
• Cloud save data and the one-time offer record are kept while your account exists, or until you delete them.
• Purchase records may be kept as long as needed for accounting, tax, refund, fraud prevention, and legal reasons.
• Support messages may be kept as long as needed to handle your request and maintain support records.
• Your player name, friend list, friend requests, blocks, gifts, Inbox, and referral code are kept while your account exists, or until you delete them. Gifts that are not claimed expire after the period shown in the game (currently 30 days).
• Messages sent from the Contact Us screen are deleted when you use Delete My Game Data. Our copies in the support channel and support records are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. You can ask us to delete them earlier.
• Reports about players are kept for as long as needed to review them and enforce our Community Rules.
• Your leaderboard entries are kept while your account exists, or until you delete them. The Enemies Killed leaderboard is reset every month; the results of finished months (player name, score, and rank) are kept in an archive for as long as needed to pay prizes and to check results. Delete My Game Data removes your entries from the live leaderboards but not from this archive of finished months. If you have a question about it, write to support@wendelstudios.com.
• Analytics: raw analytics events are kept for up to 13 months and then deleted automatically. Summary statistics derived from analytics (such as how many players are active) may be kept longer, and are deleted if you ask us to delete your data.
• Crash and performance reports are held by Google Play and Apple under their own policies.
• Security and enforcement records may be kept as long as needed to protect the game and community. This includes the small record that an account used a referral code, which is kept after you delete your game data to prevent a second reward.

When data is no longer needed, we will delete it, anonymise it, or securely archive it where required by law.

19. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data.

These rights may include:

• The right to access your personal data
• The right to correct inaccurate data
• The right to delete your data
• The right to restrict processing
• The right to object to certain processing
• The right to data portability
• The right to withdraw consent
• The right to complain to a data protection authority
• The right to opt out of certain advertising or data sharing practices, where applicable

To exercise your rights, contact us at support@wendelstudios.com.

We may need to verify your identity before completing your request.

Some data may not be deleted immediately if we need to keep it for legal, security, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate business reasons.

20. Account Deletion

You can delete your Orendale account and the personal data linked to it at any time:

1. Your account: in the game, on the login screen, choose Player Portal. This opens your Unity Player Account page, where you can choose Request Deletion. This deletes your sign-in account (your login details and email address held by Unity Authentication) and your player name.
2. Your game data: deleting the sign-in account does not by itself delete the data we hold about your play. To delete your game data yourself, sign in on the login screen and choose Delete My Game Data. This deletes your cloud saves, your friend list, friend requests and blocks, your gifts and Inbox, your referral code, your entries on the live leaderboards, the messages you sent us from the Contact Us screen, your one-time offer record, and your saves on that device, and asks Unity to delete your analytics data.
3. By email: you can also ask us to delete your account and data by emailing support@wendelstudios.com from the address linked to your account, and include your player ID if you can. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.

When we delete your data, we delete your account data, cloud save data, friend and gift data, referral code, one-time offer record, and personal data in our analytics, unless we must keep certain records for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, safety, or platform reasons. Deleting your data permanently removes your progress, items, and currencies. Purchases made through Google Play or the App Store may stay in the stores' own records.

As described in section 18, we may also keep reports about players (including reports you made), the small referral anti-abuse record, the archive of finished leaderboard months, and our copies of support messages. Gifts you already sent stay in your friends' Inboxes until they claim them or they expire. A step-by-step page is available at https://www.wendelstudios.com/delete-account.

21. Children and Minors

Orendale is not intended for children under the age of 13.

If you are under 16 in the European Union, European Economic Area, or another region with similar rules, you may need consent from a parent or legal guardian for certain data processing activities, depending on the laws of your country.

Parents or guardians who believe that their child has provided personal data without appropriate permission may contact us at support@wendelstudios.com. We will take reasonable steps to review and delete the data where required.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without appropriate permission.

22. Push Notifications

Orendale may offer push notifications or local notifications, such as reminders for energy, rewards, events, battle passes, daily rewards, or updates.

You can control notifications through your device settings or in game settings where available.

We will only send push notifications where allowed by platform rules and applicable law.

23. Marketing Communications

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe option where available or by contacting us at support@wendelstudios.com.

Service related messages, such as purchase support, account notices, security messages, or important policy updates, may still be sent where necessary.

24. Cookies and Website Tracking

If Orendale has a website, we may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, analyse traffic, improve content, and support marketing.

Where required, we will ask for consent before using non essential cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings.

25. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no online service, game, server, platform, or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your account, device, and platform login secure.

26. Data Breaches

If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will take reasonable steps to investigate, reduce harm, and notify affected users or authorities where required by law.

27. Your Choices

You may have the following choices:

• Change or withdraw your consent for ads and analytics using the Privacy Settings button in the game, where your region requires it. If your region does not require it, contact us at support@wendelstudios.com to object to analytics.
• Reset your advertising ID through your device settings.
• Manage your online presence: change your player name, remove friends, block or report players, from the Friends screen in the game.
• Disable notifications through your device settings.
• Request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your data.

29. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make important changes, we will try to notify you through the game, website, store page, email, or another reasonable method.

The updated Privacy Policy will apply from the date shown at the top of the policy.

If you continue using Orendale after the updated Privacy Policy takes effect, you acknowledge the updated policy.
