Will Orendale follow the story of Sonny?Short answer no. Due to originality, copyrights and intellectual properties of Sonny owned by Armor Games, we had no choice but to create our own. While Sonny had a very intriguing and unique arc. Our goal is something different while still taking Sonny’s interesting approach to storytelling. But you’d be happy to know that there’s an organization called ZPCD, and their task is similar to that of Sonny. Additionally, there are some resemblances in an indirect way so to speak.

What is combat gameplay like?To that we focused on the core of a turn-based battle system of classic RPGs and enhanced it with some new ideas to make it more strategic while keeping its originality. The battle format will be a turn-based 3v3. We’ve given every ability a type. There are 4 types, Melee, Ranged, Cast, and Instant. This gives us more room to come up with new mechanics, damage control, accuracy and CD based on the ability type. Who goes first is based on the highest speed stats. Buff and debuff play a huge role in the battles. This means that each ability is carefully crafted with rich components to keep the battle mechanics interesting. Some buffs are healing OT, defense, blocks, primary stats bonus, elementals stats bonus, etc. Some debuffs are damage OT, stuns, paralyze, disarm, silence, etc.

Auto Battle in Orendale:There are many games, especially turn based games that now have AFK mechanic. While we know it makes gameplay smoother, we’ve setup 3 ways to play during the player’s phase: None: The player has control over themselves, and both ally combatants. Semi: The player has control over its player only. Auto: The player has no control over any of the combatants. This gives the player control to play the game the way they want. Although it’s important to note that using the auto battle system vs the none battle system can change the course of a battle drastically between winning and losing.

Ally CombatantsPlayers can obtain ally combatants through the story, boss battles and loots. These ally combatants are unique in their own way, with their own abilities. Again, our focus is to give the player full control over their own builds and gameplay, therefore ally combatants can equip gears just like the players. Instead of having types of combatants: e.g. tank, damage dealer, support, etc. Combatants have no types. Instead, we’ve created gear types. This allows the player to craft the gear they want and build their combatants exactly the way they want; coming up with unique and crazy ideas.

Are there Classes in Orendale?Yes, and we’ve made it even better! Instead of having different characters, each specializing in a class. We’ve taken it a step further by allowing the player to have 1 character and be able to switch between classes. This keeps everything nice and tidy and allows the player to switch between classes on the go. Yes, this also means you’ll keep all your progress and gears you’ve worked hard for. Switching between classes: There are currently 2 classes in Shunny. Visage & Avatar. If a player leveled up Visage to level 7 and switched to Avatar. The class Avatar will be level 1 while Visage stays level 7. Any abilities learned on Visage will be remembered but inaccessible for the player until they switch back. There are no downsides to switching between classes.

SynergiesWhile Classes in Orendale have abilities that have amazing Synergies with one another, depending on what your specialty is in. Combining these classes' ability with the abilities of your ally combatants can create countless strategies. Not to mention when you throw gear builds in the equation. The possibilities will be endless. BUT we do keep a sharp eye on the balancing to keep everything fair and square for every class AND our PVE combatants.

Attribute Points & Research TreesWe’re all old school MMORPG players and putting stats point in your primary attributes always gave the player some self-control for their ideal build and damage. We encourage that here too. Players are given a limited number of Stats per class level. These stats points can be invested in either Strength, Agility or Intelligence. Research Trees are not based on skill points. This means that every ability in your research tree can be maximized. But to keep the gameplay ideal for unique build opportunities. We’ve limited the number of skills a player can have in their skill bar slots. This forces the player to be keener on which abilities to level up and equip for battles.

CurrencyIn Orendale, there are different currencies: Stardust, Shards and gold. Stardust is obtained by training battles, and these can be used to level up your abilities in the research tree. Shards are obtained by training battles and dismantling gears. Shards can be used in crafting trees to research gear and crafting gears. Gold is obtained by training battles and selling materials. Gold is used for enhancing gears.
